Building Wayfeel solo with Claude Code
There is no team standup. There is a laptop, a thesis, and Claude Code — and most days that turns out to be enough.
Building Wayfeel solo means every decision — product, design, data model, copy — runs through one person. That used to sound like a bottleneck. Increasingly it feels like the whole point: the thesis stays intact from concept to interface because nothing gets translated through a second person along the way.
What changed is what "solo" can mean now. Claude Code handles the parts that used to require hiring — scaffolding a data model, wiring up a screen, catching my own inconsistencies across a growing codebase. Not because it designs for me, but because it removes the tax on moving from idea to working software.
The work that’s left is the work that actually matters: what the app should ask, what it shouldn’t, and whether any of it helps someone locate what they’re feeling. That part doesn’t get faster. It just finally gets my full attention.
